​The Court of Cassation had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation of Ukrainian judges visiting Brussels as part of an institutional meeting.
On this occasion, the First President and the Prosecutor General presented the role of the Court of Cassation and the challenges facing the Belgian judiciary.

On 19 March 2025, the First President and the Attorney General received Mrs Tomoko Akane, Judge and President of the International Criminal Court (ICC), at the Cour de Cassation. Mrs Akane was in Brussels at the invitation of the European Parliament's Subcommittee on Human Rights (DROI) and Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI), to explain the situation of the ICC following various coercive measures regarding its officials and staff. On this occasion, the President of the ICC wished to meet with the judicial authorities in order to exchange views on other legal issues of common interest. The First President and the Attorney General expressed to President Akane their support for the International Criminal Court as an impartial and independent judicial institution.
